Betty's Place

Betty's Place was a roadhouse bar located across Lake Hartwell on the north side of US 123 where Bountyland Quik Stop store number 5 is now located. This was almost directly across the highway from the 123 Truck Stop.
Not for the timid, Betty's was not terribly popular with the student body, being much more a rustic local's joint. It closed some time in the early 1990s, this writer believes. The building was razed.
