The Beat is a bi-weekly news and current events newspaper published in Greenville, South Carolina for three years as of 2007. Tabloid-sized, recent issues have run to 32 pages. Editor and publisher is James Shannon.

The publication's editorial policy states that "The Beat is published biweekly on Wednesdays and contains a variety of social and political viewpoints that do not necessarily reflect the views of the publisher." The contents are copyright by Beat New Media LLC.
