Having switched from BellSouth to Northland, I feel like I should add something to this page, but it doesn't exist and I haven't the time to create it. For now, here's my two cents--

Northland Cable's internet and telephone packages are much more affordable (and of better quality) than BellSouth (whose copper line quality in the area is questionable). VoiceLine, Northland's VOIP option, is available in two tiers: $15/mo for 500 outgoing minutes or $30/mo for unlimited minutes. Incoming calls are free and the service is fully manageable from any web browser. Additional numbers (toll-free or any US area code) are $5/mo. Their lowest speed of internet service, Easy Access, is $30/mo. There is no extra fee for having internet and phone without a cable TV subscription. --fowlerj
