Berkeley Place is an apartment complex designed for students located on Highway 93 towards Central. The property was developed and is currently managed by Place Properties, the company that also runs Clemson Place. Berkeley Place has been voted by The Tiger as the best off-campus housing two years in a row.
Apartments are available in 2 or 4 bedroom floorplans, and every room has a private bathroom. The apartments are fully furnished, down to an uncomfortable chair accompanying a built-in desk in each room. The clubhouse has a pool, a sand volleyball court, two tennis courts, an exceedingly small "gym," and a pool table. "Highspeed" internet is available via an ethernet port in each room at an added cost, however, the "highspeed" aspect has been known to be questionable in the past.
There is certainly never a quiet weekend night at Berkeley Place. Residents throw frequent parties, and are generally very friendly towards other residents. Because of this, there are frequent police patrols on weekend nights, but as long as you're careful and legal, you should have no problems attending a Berkeley Place party. When the weather is warm, the sand volleyball court is very active and the pool is full of residents and friends laying out.
