Boggs Bridge is the concrete and steel road bridge on Old Central Road, which was the original route between Calhoun and Central. The original structure was originally necessitated by the deep cut required by the Southern Railway during its 1915-1916 realignment project. The old high steel and concrete bridge on wooden piers over the railroad, which probably dated to the 1930s-1940s, closed for demolition and reconstruction on November 27, 2006. It was slated to reopen on July 31, 2007, but this was delayed for about a month.

In turn, the old railroad right of way between Calhoun and Central would be paved to become old State Road 13, US 123, and later, SC 93, superseding Old Central Road as the primary travel route between the two communities.
