Clemson Rave consists of a group of students (and a few faculty/staff) who join together in dance on the Library Bridge. The non-affiliated group first performed as a surprise during the last week of class in the Fall 2006 semester. The 2nd performance was on December 5, 2007 and the 3rd on December 3, 2008. The goal is to bring joy to the students of Clemson with "spontaneous" dance. Clemson Rave was the brainchild of 2008 graduate Jad Taylor and could not be put on without the one-hundred or so students who dance in highlighter-yellow t-shirts. The current organizer is Bryan Galloway. The group has become local favorites on You Tube. The choreographed number of choice was "Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)" by C+C Music Factory, with vocal by Disco/House artist Martha Wash. Other tunes included the Bee Gees' "Stayin' Alive", "Ice Ice, Baby" by Vanilla Ice, and "C'mon Ride That Train" by the Quad City DJs.

The fourth annual Rave took place on December 3, 2009 at 12:19 p.m.
