College Avenue

College Avenue, the southern most leg of SC 133, represents the downtown portion of Clemson. It intersects with US 123/US 76 on the north end and Highway 93 on the south end, adjacent to Clemson University's Bowman Field. During the early decades of the college, the mile or so north to Calhoun, really just a dirt carriage road at first, was called Calhoun Road. The portion below downtown was still known as Six Mile Road into the early 1970s.
