An annual spring event, started in 1966, between Clemson social sororities. The sororities would compete all week for points. On the Friday night before Dixie Day, there was the Miss Magnolia beauty pagent and sorority sing. The whole event would conclude on Saturday, Dixie Day, where the sororities would compete in events like tug of war and egg toss, along with other intramural activities. At the end of the day the points were tallied and the winning sorority was named. Dixie Day was originally started by Sigma Kappa Epsilon, a local fraternity, which later became the Delta Nu chapter of Beta Theta Pi National Fraternity and the Interfraternity Council.
