Formerly a senior Yugoslav career diplomat, Ambassador and Assistant Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Vladimir Matic has been teaching Foreign Policy and International Affairs as well as Comparative Politics at Clemson University since 1996. He is an acknowledged expert on European and Balkan affairs and publishes papers and articles, lectures and serves as a valued consultant to a variety of government and non- governmental institutions. He has served as a consultant to the United States Institute of Peace since 2001 and received the Public Policy Scholar Award from the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.
