Hendrix Student Center is Clemson University's student union, named for Leon J. (Bill) Hendrix, Class of 1963, Life Trustee of the University, current chairman of the Board of Trustees. It was designed by Neal Prince & Partners, an architecture firm based in Greenville, South Carolina. Construction took place from January 1998 to April 2000, and has a total of 109,300 square feet of space.

Inside the center is the University Book Store, East-Side Foodcourt, McKissick Theatre, a full-service TD Bank branch location, the Michelin Career Center, the Gantt Intercultural Center, the '55 Exchange ice cream shop, and office space for the Dean of Students and Clemson University's numerous student-run media organizations. Media are on the third floor. Other facilities include a computer lab.

Before the construction of the Hendrix Student Center, the only student union was located on West Campus next to the Johnstone, Holmes, and McCabe dorms. That area is now referred to as the Edgar A. Brown University Union.
