Lever Beach on a warm day.

Lever Beach (pronounced "leave-er") is the name given to the open area of grass located behind the Hendrix Center and Lever dormitory. It is referred to as a "beach" due to the fact that on warm sunny days it is not uncommon to see several people (usually women) laying out, tanning in bikinis and bathing suits. Visitors are warned to be cautious of flying objects such as frisbees, baseballs, and footballs in this area.

Usually seen as a second resort if Bowman Field is too crowded, it is also nicknamed "Baby Bowman" .
