Peppino's Pizza is one of Clemson's many pizza restaurants. It is located in the heart of downtown Clemson, and is a very popular spot on weekend nights. Many students like to stop by Peppinos before or after going downtown, and sometimes both before and after. One drag about Peppino's is that they absolutely will not give anyone water, and will force patrons to purchase bottled water.
Peppino's Pizzeria is a chain of three restaurants operated by Joe and Frank Cortese with locations in Greenville, Seneca and Clemson. The Clemson restaurant is located in Rubin Square on College Avenue.
Peppino's features three pool tables, an air hockey table, and classic (though often poorly maintained) arcade games, currently in January 2010 "Turkey Hunter USA" by Sammy, and "Silver Strike 2007 Bowlers Club" by Incredible Technologies. Prices are typical: expect to spend about $4-5 for two slices of pizza and a drink. It houses a fairly large dining room. The pizza is good, thicker and sometimes less greasy than Todaro Pizza's, though not always.
Peppino's has a good drink special: Spend $10 on a pitcher of beer, and you can keep the pitcher and come back unlimited times that semester to get $3 pitchers.
The restaurant offers very long hours of operation. Monday-Friday it is open from 11 a.m. to 3 a.m., on Saturday it is open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m., and Sunday hours are 12 noon to 10 p.m. Delivery is available on slightly reduced hours.
