The Pita Pit is the name of a new operation that took over the former locations of Moe Joe Coffee Company at 381 College Avenue and Ben & Jerry's at 383 College Avenue, after the landlord refused to extend the lease of the coffee shop. As of September 2009, the two spaces were being remodeled and combined by Trehel Construction Company. Justin Kopelman, of 210 Pendleton Road, Clemson, was the licensee for the remodelling work. As of October 2009, advertising for new employees was displayed on the building door. The new business opened on October 26, 2009. The former Moe Joe's space now serves as the dining area while the Ben & Jerry's portion is the food prep and ordering area.

The restaurant offers both meat and veggie pitas, as well as breakfast pitas.
