Hendrix Student Center is Clemson University's student union, named for Leon J. (Bill) Hendrix, Class of 1963, Life Trustee of the University, current chairman of the Board of Trustees. It was designed by Neal•Prince & Partners, an architecture firm based in Greenville, SC. Construction took place from January 1998 to April 2000, and has a total of 109,300 square feet of space.

Inside the center is the University Book Store, East-Side Foodcourt, McKissick Theatre, copy shop, a Carolina First bank, a hair salon, the Michelin Career Center, and office space for Clemson University's numerous student-run media organizations. Other facilities include a computer lab.

Before the construction of the Hendrix Student Center, the only student union was located on the other side of campus next to the Johnstone, Holmes, and McCabe dorms. That area is now referred to as the Edgar A. Brown University Union.
