Tiffany Marie Souers (1986 - May 26, 2006) was a Junior Civil Engineering major at Clemson University and a Villa Duchesne graduate. On the afternoon of May 26, 2006, she was found dead in her apartment at The Reserve in Central [1]. A former roomate returning a key discovered Souers' death[2]. Friends say that Souers was dropped off at her apartment around 11:30 PM on the 25th [3]. Police reports indicate that Souers was strangled with a bikini top, estimating time of death around 1:30 am on the 26th. There was no sign of forced entry at the apartment, and no other signs of trauma to Souers's body [4][5]. There was evidence that she fought back. Investigators have used Souers's computer and Facebook profile to search for leads in the case, searching for evidence of contact with other persons and attempting to establish a timeline of events [6].

Souers was enrolled in summer school at Clemson [7]. Strong in physics and math, she was doing well academically, and was active with a local charity in Easley. She was scheduled to have an internship in Denver in July [8]. A member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, Souers had many friends in the civil engineering department, and was friends with several members of the football team [9]. She was the oldest of three children, and graduated from Villa Duchesne High School in Frontenac, Missouri, in 2004. In Christmas 2005, she was the maid of honor of the Veiled Prophet Ball, a debutante event in St. Louis [10].

Jerry Buck Inman has been charged with the Souer's murder, and is awaiting trial.[11] For case update see April 16, 2007.

She will always be remembered as a child of the Sacred Heart.
