US 76 is one of the three main highways that run through Clemson, the others being US 123 and SC 93. US 76 runs east-west through Clemson, merged with US 123 to form Tiger Boulevard. This was originally referred to to as the 123 By-Pass. At the location of the Clemson City Hall, US 76 diverges from 123 and angles southeast towards Anderson, South Carolina, passing to the west of the Clemson National Guard Armory. This portion is named the Anderson Highway. A portion of it was designated as the Thomas Green Clemson Parkway on April 11, 1979 at the conclusion of Founders Day ceremonies.
