Rhodes Engineering Research Center is home of the graduate program in bioengineering. It is one of 20 National Science Foundation Centers in the country.

Rhodes Engineering Research Center is named for Samuel R. "Slim" Rhodes, Class of 1907, who was the first editor of The Tiger and later served Clemson as an electrical engineering professor.
