- 1940: Jess Neely resigns as athletic director and football coach to take head coach position at Rice University.
- 1979: Tiger Band travels to Columbia to march in inauguration activities of Governor Richard W. Riley.
- 1980: Classes begin.
- 2007: Classes begin. Duke Energy conducts a three minute test of the emergency warning siren system of the Oconee Nuclear facility at 11:50 a.m.
- 2009: The tenth-ranked Tigers defeat North Carolina State, 63-51, in Littlejohn Coliseum, improving season record to 16-0. Tip-off at noon.
