Rollercoaster Road

Rollercoaster Road is a nickname for many decades for University Drive near the Clemson-Oconee Airport across Lake Hartwell from campus in Oconee County. It is so named because of the two-dip configuration of the road at the bottom of two hills which allow for amusement-park quality thrills when taken fast. The pavement shows ample sign of patching where many vehicles bottomed out over the years.

The entire road has been repaved in June 2008. Happy motoring!
