Death Valley Exxon
Death Valley Exxon was a full-service gas station located on the northwest corner of College Avenue and the US 123 By-pass from 1980 onwards. (It had been a service station prior to this under a different operator.) It closed in 2005 when the property was sold to be remodeled completely into the Sonic Drive-In No. 4. The closure was announced on December 21, 2005.
The former owner of Death Valley Exxon consolidated his auto repair business with another operation in the former Sears-Roebuck catalogue store at 302 West North First Street in Seneca as Oconee Auto Service. This enterprise would be defunct by September 2009.
