Griffin's Sports Bar & Grill
Griffin's Sports Bar & Grill was a sports bar that took over the location on the Old Greenville Highway that had been occupied for several years by the Acropolis Greek restaurant. Major remodelling took place during the summer of 2007, with the patio eating area now enclosed by a brick wall with ceiling. Opened in August 2007, as of September the new management operated with paper menus and a slightly limited selection as they got the new operation up to speed. The bar boasted a beautiful blonde wood floor. A former parking area adjacent to the building was converted into a covered outdoor drinking/smoking area. Griffin's featured a Wii and a jukebox for entertainment.
Live music was occasionally featured.
This was the only bar in Clemson that had NFL Sunday Ticket for a time.
It was closed Sunday - Monday.
After struggling through the winter and spring of 2010, Griffin's closed after business on May 8, 2010.
