1973: Mrs. Edgar A. Brown dies.

2006: Clemson University student Tiffany Marie Souers, 20, of Ladue, Missouri, is found dead Friday in her apartment at The Reserve, 118 Sumter Lane in Central. Pickens County Coroner James Mahanes reports that an autopsy performed May 27 disclosed the cause of death was by strangulation. Central police are investigating the case as a possible homicide and with assistance from State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) officers.
