Dairy Queen

Dairy Queen attempted to colonize in Clemson in the 1960s at the juncture of SC 93 and the new US 123 By-pass, erecting the classic Dairy Queen "barn" on Frontage Road, just down the hill from the Phillips 66 service station on the southeast side of the intersection. Access from the new highway was not direct and this may have hurt business, for it had ceased to be a Dairy Queen by 1974.

A series of other businesses and restaurants would occupy this space before the building was razed as part of the redesign of the junction of SC 93 and US 123.
