Palmetto’s Smokehouse and Oyster Bar is a Cajun and Creole style restaurant located at 199 Old Greenville Highway in Clemson. Opened in early 2013 by Teri and Jim Oswald, it offers a menu “Inspired by All Things South Carolina with a Touch of N’ Awlin’s.”

The menu features smoked meats (pulled pork, Texas-style beef brisket, and chicken), sandwiches and burgers, seafood jamabalaya, shrimp and grits, “Scott K’s Brunswick Stew,” and various side dishes and appetizers. But the primary focus is shrimp and oysters, prepared in a variety of ways. They also offer Low Country Boil, initially served on Tuesdays and Saturdays, but expanded to daily in the fall of 2019. Oyster prices reflect market rate.

They offer a full bar.

Open daily, but closed between 2:30 and 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

A New Orleans brunch is offered on Saturday and Sunday, 11:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Specials are offered for Clemson staff and students.

There was also a second location in Anderson, South Carolina, but it has closed.
