  • 1930: The YMCA hosts a reception for new members of the faculty.
  • 1974: Student Senate run-off elections held.
  • 2005: ABC-TV airs a feature about the Esso Club during the Miami game broadcast. Clemson loses in three overtimes, 36-30.
  • 2006: University carillonneur Linda Dzuris rings in autumn with a concert on the 47-bell carillon housed in the tower of Tillman Hall at 5 p.m. Bring a picnic and enjoy the music. Recommended listening spots include Cox Union Plaza, Military Heritage Plaza, Bowman Field, and the Carillon Garden. The concert will take place rain or shine. Visitors are invited to tour the playing cabin following the performance.
  • 2006: Clemson climbs back into the Top 25 in the CNN/Coaches poll at 23rd after defeating number nine-ranked Florida State, 27-20, in Tallahassee. FSU drops to 17th. The Associated Press poll places FSU 18th and the Tigers 19th.
